Tauron Nowa Muzyka
Gang Gang Dance, Chris Clark, Rustie, Sepalcure, Kwes, L-Vis 1990 i Scuba the first confirmed artists of the 7th Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival 2012. Two Day Entry Passes are now in sale!

Get ready for the heavy diggers roar and gigantic cranes clank over your heads, the industrial architecture surrounding and a music festival taking place at the largest building site in Katowice! Make sure you plan your August weekend well and do it now! The 7th Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival is coming and here are the first confirmed artist from the lineup!

Kwes - a british multinstrumentalist, know for his past collaborations with Leftfield and Ebony Bones, named the next Matthew Herbert, Kwes. can surely be called one of the main innovators of modern electronic music. With the use of keyboards, samplers, guitar and percussion this 24 year old producer, now afiliated with Warp Records, has, on many ocassion, prooved that there is no music gender he’s not familiar with and well capable of representing! Kwes’s natural artistic freedom and born sense of music allows him to travel swiftly between hip-hop breaks and experimental IDM sounds, His diversity has only gained him acclaim and respect among other musicians, Mikahu, Ebony Bones and Damon Albarn to name few.

The same boldness and unorthodox approach to music characterises our second confirmed artist, the highly anticipated New York duo - Sepalcure! Formed by Praveen Sharma and Travis Smith, better know by his solo stage alias - Machinedrum. Film lovers might also know them as the co-authors of the official soundtract for Darren Aronovsky’s Black Swan.
Get ready for some dance madness deliver by the duo and formed out of classic house music, dubstep and glitch sounds! Guaranteed to satisfy even the most demanding heads!

Now there’s a chance, that our next confirmed artist is someone you might not have heard of yet (even though he has already performed in Poland). He is L-Vis 1990 and what’s special about him is that despite such young age, as a musicial L-Vis brings the nostalgia and memories of the 90’s, the crowds and raves to classical Daft Punk or Basement Jaxx tracks. By reaching for oldschool synths and old Roland drum machine L-Vis 1990 brings back the hope to house music by spicing it up with garage filth, funk bass and hipnotizing vocals that make you think of the golden era of neo-soul.

If you’re looking for extreme diversity and stage energy, also make sure you don’t miss the live performance of our fourth confirmed artists who will perform at Tauron Nowa Muzyka 2012 - Rustie! Despite a relatively short musical carrier (started in 2007) by constantly releasing new EP’s and singles he’s biuld a strong foundation for himself. That has only grown when Rustie’s debut album entitled Glass Swords and released by the legendary Warp Records came out in 2011. This album has become one of the most controvercial LP of the year, and the young producer became famous and played on radio stations wordlwide. His critics call his music to simple and melodramatic, his fans say he brings a child like freshless to the stif and stale world of modern electronic music. If you want to find out for yourself and verify your own opinion on Hover Traps (based on simple bass and synth backgrounds) being one of the biggest bangers of the last decade, or just a cynical production made to suit everyone and everywhere, as stated by one of the british music critics. Regardless what you think, make sure you come and see him play live!

Simplicity is something you should not really expect from our next guest - Chris Clark. On the contrary - he is an artist famous for escaping any kinds of labels and gender generalisations. His previous musical output has already been named trip-hop, avant-rave, post-rock, IDM or even organic house! Truth being that Clark’s each individual track is a totally unique construction which demands analizing the entire electronic music scene before and after listening to it! Clark is one of the few musicians skilled enough to join together euro-dance, glitch-hop, acid based synths and kraftwerk, remodeled vocals to make music that’s as good listening to as it is on a dancefloor. As someone once said: Clark’s music is like walking the narrow lanes and alleys of fun fair, the place where you can witness a candy shop and a freak show tent in a matter of seconds! Clark’s every live performance is a venture into the world with absolutely no musical boundries and limitations, a venture which will become a genuine thrill to anyone involved and willing to open up to the unfimiliar and sometimes even psychodelic sounds! Chris Clark is coming back to Tauron Nowa Muzyka, this time to premiere his forthcoming LP - Iradelphic (due to drop in March 2012).

Psychadelic is also the by-word for our last and final line-up announcement for today - we will have the legendary New York Gang Gang Dance perform at TNM 2012! This live performance has already been named as one of the highlights of this year’s festival in Katowice. Hailed as the “anty-music” group, tearing it down with massive walls of sound, off-key guitar riffs and electronic chaos, Gang Gang Dance has taken the american music market by storm back in 2004 and their debut album entitled Revival of the Shittiest. This album showed Liz Bougatsos vocal skills and proved that the group takes no prisoners and knows no compromise. Arabic harmonies, African rhytms, Eterical Vocals that cut through layers of sound. These are just few elements that combined form the so hard to properely describe - Gang Gang Dance. Their every live performance is like a mixture os voodoo magic and underground New York Club in which everyone is on something.
The group’s last official release, Eye Contact published by the legendary 4AD record label has become a international sensation, and topped many year summaries for Best LP in 2011. Most of the tracked on the album have or still will be remixed, the already done came from some of the biggest names in the game like Lee “Scratch” Perry. No fan of contemporary music experiments will be left standing when this group takes to the stage at TNM 2012!
