Tauron Nowa Muzyka
Bonobo in Warsaw and Poznan for the Before Tauron Nowa Muzyka 2012!

We’ve still got a bit of time before we break out the Lineup Bank and start announcing artists for Tauron Nowa Muzyka 2012. Until we do that, we’d like to invite you to the first (in terms of dates) Before Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival 2012. The cycle of events leading up to the main event in August will take us to some of the best clubs across Poland.

As the first instalment to the series we have an explosive mixture of dance rhythms, dark synth sounds and masterpiece jazz music, all in one night!

We start February 10th in Fabryka Trzciny in Warsaw, giving you a chance to have fun listening to one of the most interesting polish contemporary jazz quintets - Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet (at 8:00 p.m.). Remembering their trully inspired performance during this year’s festival, we can guarantee that their energetic fusion of free jazz impros and almost punk alike energy will leave no one stading still.

For many years, this gifted musician (Wojtek Mazolewski) has been drawing his inspirations from the Golden Era of Jazz Music, proving that this classical music gender, when played out live by a band using only traditional instruments can still sound fresh and reach an audience accustomed to a slight difrerent kind of music.

Straight after Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet the stage will be taken over by a highly talented duo hailing from Cardiff - Man Without Country. Their last year’s debut EP entitled "King Complex" has attracted the attention from fans of melancholic songs made by My Bloody Valentine as well as those in love with deep, synthesizer based vibes. The next release will happen in 2012 when "Foe" sees the light of day.

Labeled as the next big thing in shoegaze and ambient electro-pop music, Man Without Country brilliantly combine together crazy, twiested guitar based riffs and sharp, dance rhythms built with clear fascination for the 80’s music. The young Welsh produce music that is strongly ancored in several different historical music genders yet still sounds very contemporary!

If Crystal Castles ever wanted to make a record with only Bronski Beat covers the outcome would be what Man Without Country are making right now!

The final performance of the night will come from the one and only Simon Green, better know by his stage alias - Bonobo!

This artist recording his material for the legendary Ninja Tune label is also strongly associated to our festival. His massive popularity in Poland can only be explained by Bonobo’s fantastic live band performances (as Bonobo Live Band) and electrifing DJ sets.

Get ready for a crazy ride through rhythms and styles, music sampled out of French crime stories and highly hipnotizing melodies - all in one set!

Bonobo, the man behind the decks, has time after time proved, that he’s well capable of winning over any kind of crowd and to take them on a 2 hour trip into his world of the finest chill-out, remixes and greates hits!

What’s really important for all of you who cannot make it to Warsaw for the 10th of February - this will not be Bonobo’s only perfomance. One day after the Warsaw show (February 11th) we would like to invite you to the second showdown of our Before Tauron Nowa Muzyka 2012 with Bonobo. This time to Poznan’s Eskulap where the gig stars at 8:00 p.m.
